The Fashion and Blogging Conference will unite fashion and beauty lovers with bloggers by discussing various topics on the current state of fashion with influential leaders in the industry. This event will create an empowering and rewarding experience for attendees, allowing them to explore the industry through discussion in a social environment.
The three-part event will kick off with a catered meet and greet reception, followed by a discussion from our panelist and the cities hottest fashion show to feature the fall and winter trends. Meet style icons and experience the fun that is usually reserved for fashion insiders.
This conference will provide a platform to connect with powerful industry leaders and others working in the industry, top brands, bloggers, and fashion lovers. In addition to meeting your favorite bloggers and networking with people with similar interests, there is an abundance of information and resources that can be gained and accessed at this event.
GOAL
The goal of this event is to provide opportunities and knowledge for the attendees, while serving as a unique opportunity for the sponsored brands to reach a trendsetting audience.
SPEAKERS
Drew Xeron
Drew Xeron is self-taught photographer and filmmaker that has photographed celebrities such as Miss. J from America’s Next top Model, R&B singer Miguel, Robin Thick and the list goes on. He has also worked with Spike Lee and Russell Simmons on upcoming documentaries.
.Drew has managed to get featured in multiple international publications including VOGUE Italia and Shy Magazine.Drew has an extremely creative spontaneous style that is recognizable all over the world.
Kimee Brown
After studying fashion at the University of Southern Carolina, Kimee Brown, has worked as a Womenswear manager with luxury department stores and small boutiques, various fashion media sites, an assistant fashion editor for wari magazine, and is now currently the fashion director of neonV magazine. She has also assisted in the production of several shows for New York fashion week including Alexander Wang, Karen Walker, J. Mendel, and Diesel Gold Collections.
Tamika Wilkins
Tamika is a self-taught designer with a keen eye for what looks elegant, casual and chic. Aside from handling her daily work, Tamika is also a fashion and personal style blogger for My Designer Dreams. My Designer Dreams was created to document her journey and inspire within the industry of fashion, as well as feature creative individuals who deserve to be recognized, with anything else fashion related. She has been seen in Essence Magazine’s “Street Style” multiple times, Refinery 29, NY Times “On the Street with Bill Cunningham” and was the personal assistant to the CEO, Kenneth Flanagan and lead assistant designer within the company.
Location
The Fashion & Bloggers Conference will be held at a luxury resort style club room with Wi-Fi, a pool table and an entertainment bar. The location also features a resort-style outdoor pool, a pool house and grilling area with cabanas. This prime location steps away from the metro and other forms of transportation.
