All About That Vintage

All about that vintage!

I found this Thrift vintage dress from Via Gypset, which is a local store in my area. Not only is it about vintage, it’s about supporting local.  I’m all about finding pieces that are timeless. I have to admit was worth getting a bit pricey. I knew that it would fit me from the cut, the fabric, and the details. The best part of shopping in vintage boutiques is finding  pieces that no one will have. That’s why I love shopping at vintage boutique because all of the pieces are super unique. Especially, if your going to an event you want to stand out.

I love how this dress has the right details and the fabric is so carefree. Whether your going through your everyday routine or going to a ball….you can pull off this dress at any occasion!
What I wore:

Via gypset: dress

Forever21: Leather Jacket

H&M: Bag

Louise et Cie: lace up heels

NYFW: Day 4

Fast forward to day four looks at New York Fashion Week.

This is the last day of NYFW week for me! I had a blast and really enjoyed my time.
I have been to NYFW before and this time around was different for me. I wasn’t focused on trying to attend every single show. Learning from last year, I decided to take in everything around me instead of rushing everything. I wanted to enjoy people’s company and the moments.

One thing that is a must for me, and I am sure most people that Fashion Week, are capturing photos. If you follow me on Instagram then you saw my photos from the actual shows. On this blog post, I wanted to focus more on what I wore. I decided to something comfortable yet chic. Let me guess, your first thought was “wonder what heels she wore!” Nope, not this gal. As cute as heels are, they are not for New York. Fashion Week and New York in general call for lots of walking and I wanted to be sure I stayed looking fab all day. Therefore, I did myself a favor and went with these sandals. The pop of color led me to stand out while the funky sleeves on my top, added more fun!

 Until next year!

How to wear a cape during NYFW?

I honestly love capes so I decided to wear my suede cape from Zara twice. Of course I mixed it up each time! It was mad cold that’s probably why I got the flu not realizing that NYC much colder than D.C. Regardless, my first look I decided to wear a dress with color, blocking snake boots, and handkerchief. The is fun and edgy in such a girly way.

Ummm… no.

This graphic tee comes from Thread Tank.

When they reached out to me for a collaboration, I was like yes! So overwhelmed with excitement.

I love how fun this brand is. You can pretty much do anything with a graphic tee and the sayings really just top it off, to make light of whatever is going on around or just simply make you laugh. They are mad comfortable. Like I just said, they can be worn dressed up or down.

I chose to wear this with a black, sheer and lace skirt. Which was then paired with an edgy bandana and Converse. I went with a more comfy style, yet somewhat chic *flips hair*

Who doesn’t like a good graphic tee?

NYFW: Day1

Every year I go to NYFW.

I feel if your in fashion world you must go NYFW the mega conference for fashion Week. It’s an event you should experience.

The fashion was on point. For the shows I attended, the clothing involved a lot of lace and gowns with flowy trains. On the runway I saw dresses with sneakers. Very unique and something I would not normally think of trying. All in all, it made me want to use some of those trends on the runway in my wardrobe. It’s all about self expression!

What I wore:

One thing I wish I had done, is explore more of NYC like going to museums, eating at the amazing restaurants,  and going to more after parties! I think going toNYC is such a different world

 now it’s back to reality…

Nora NYC Shades

When you get back from NYC, sick from the flu but your Nora NYC sunnies get you hype. Yep, thats my current situation.

I had the lovely opportunity to collaborate with Nora NYC

All About the Lips

Let’s talk about E.L.F. Cosmetics.

One of my favorite beauty brands as I have been using their products for awhile now. Today I want to focus on their lip palette. Most of the time, I am mixing colors! I think it is so fun and neat to see what new colors you can create.

For this look, I mixed together a pink and dark burgundy through layering. Mixing can be done by pouring a little of each color on your hand, mixing then applying. What I always do though is mix by layering so one coat dark burgundy and the next pink. Not only are both colors amazing alone, but they are fabulous together. I love the results! They go perfect with my blue and neutral outfit.

When picking out this look, I was going after loose pieces. This outfit flowed nicely, making it great with summers breeze. Not too hot, but just right! As you can see, I wanted to keep everything very neutral. This outfit says a lot, with very little color and no patters.

Those lips though.

The Little Red Outfit

Ah, the little red outfit.

With my looks, I like to compliment them with “matchy matchy” tops. Like this red leather jacket. As you can see, I paired it with a red top. It gives a very sophisticated look that I love. During summer time, I often wear sleek looks.

“Fashion is what you buy. Style is what you do with it.”

Killing the sleek look all day long! The glasses are the perfect touch. Also, let’s not forget about these gold, dangle earrings. Just one piece of jewelry to not be over the top. The key is to find a happy medium to bring the sleek look.

When in doubt, wear red.
